1. What activities have you performed that demonstrate your ability to work effectively with people? No person is a one man army. In dental field specifically, one has to interact with different kinds of people to be efficient. Throughout my journey from dental school in India to U.S, there have been many incidents where I have had the opportunity to work as a team member. I would like to mention a few examples here: 1. Annual five day camp at a sikh temple: While studying at BJS Dental College in India, I had to opportunity to participate in the Annual five day dental camp organized by my dental college at a sikh temple. In those five days, free dental check-up was offered to people along with community lunch. During first three years of college which were my pre-clinical years, I used to volunteer for the community lunch where, I along with other students used to prepare and serve free food to the people. The last two years, I actively participated in the camp by performing dental check-up on the people coming to the camp. 2. I was also a member of my batch's theatre group. Me and a few of my fellow batch mates formed a theatre club and used to put up plays during the annual cultural completion. My role was that of a director and an actor. The plays that we organized had maximum participation of students because my team believed that "talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” We performed three times during my college and we were declared winners for all the three times. 3. Working at a tribal clinic in U.S.: Currently I am working at Nooksack Dental Clinic, which is a clinic for Native Americans. Apart from performing standard dental assistant duties, I participated, with the dentist and the other dental assistant, in “Head Start Program” of the tribe, to provide Flouride varnish to the kids at the program. 4. I also participated in ‘Whatcom County Annual Free Sealant Day' organized by Mount Baker District Dental Society on February 27th 2016, where I worked with various other dental assistants, hygienists and dentists to put sealants as a preventive treatment for the kids. 2  Please describe your immediate and long-term professional goals. Immediate goal- To get admission into Advanced Standing Program for international dentists in U.S. followed by participating or assisting in research projects while in dental school as research is an unexplored vista for me. How a project can have an impact in real world practice really interests me. Long Term Goals- after getting DDS/DMD degree, I would like to do residency in AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) to get more familiar with comprehensive dentistry. I would also pursue specialization in oral surgery or pedodontics along with forensic dentistry  3.Describe (if applicable) your work experience (paid or unpaid) in the U.S. or Canada and how it contributes to your professional experience. As a dental assistant, first in a corporate owned dental clinic, and now at a government sponsored tribal clinic. As a part time Retail Associate at a shoe store (Payless Shoe Source)

 4.  What qualities of Penn Dental Medicine do you feel will help you achieve your professional goals and how?
