Conclusion
In conclusion, for this project, the identified problem in the clinical environment is hypertension in adults. Hypertension (HTN) is essentially a persistent medical condition in which the pressure of blood within the arteries is raised. Almost 67 million persons or 1 in three American adults have HBP. The setting in which the HTN can be observed is basically primary care settings that care for HTN care for adults. Presently, medications for HTN have many side effects that patients often complain about. The proposed solution to address the problem is doing exercise to reduce HBP. The theory that can be utilized in supporting my proposed solution is Orem’s Self-Care Deficit Theory. This theory was incorporated in the project by informing hypertensive individuals, or patients with high blood pressure about the importance of self-care. In essence, they were informed why they should regard self-care highly.
Fox (2012) pointed out that exercising regularly reduces BP through improving the elasticity of the blood vessels, offering more flexibility, as well as giving less resistance to the flow of blood. A...
