Compared to other developed nations such as the UK, Sweden, Canada, and Norway, the United States has the most expensive healthcare system (Khazan, 2022). One would expect higher healthcare spending would result in higher quality healthcare. However, countries like Canada, Norway, and the United Kingdom seem to have more positive health outcomes despite spending less.
Studies show that the healthcare system of the United Kingdom is way superior to that of the US. The United Kingdom continuously checks for problems existing within the healthcare system and improves them (The Atlantic, 2022). As a result, healthcare quality is way better compared to the US and other countries.
Canada does not rank significantly better than the United Kingdom, the US, Sweden, and other developed countries regarding healthcare spending (Khazan, 2022).
