Implicit bias towards patients is a usual encounter among nurses in the line of work. It is naturally part of the human's subconscious to hold bias and stereotypes. Moreover, nurses are not exempted since they deal with their patients, and they are equal humans. However, implicit bias most often ruins the best nursing practices. To ensure that health promotion activities are culturally competent, nurses need to eliminate disparities in healthcare. Health disparities could be defined as uneven burdens in disease morbidity and mortality rates.
