The continuous rise in health care cost has left the health of many Americans at stake as most people in the population cannot afford to pay for their medical bills. For instance, the working-class communities in the States say they cannot meet the stipulated premiums for health insurance policies. In this case, these individuals depend on cash payments for health care services, and they end up not meeting the medical cost for the required care. On the other hand, the state and federal government are trying to intervene by meeting the most expensive costs for programs and procedures like Medicaid and Medicare ("Opinion | The High Cost of Health Care," 2020). What about the other programs? What is the futility of people like the individuals in low-class status in the desire to access desired health care facilities, but with financial constraints? The high cost of health care in the United States is advanced more than in all developed countries, calling for an immediate solution ("Opinion | The High Cost of Health Care," 2020). Although solving the fiscal issue in health care might not be easy, it demands an immediate solution to ensure a different direction in the cost of accessing medical services in the country.
“Health care leaders and policymakers have tried countless incremental fixes—attacking fraud, reducing errors, enforcing practice guidelines, making patients better "consumers," implementing electronic medical records—but none have had much impact.” Although such stakeholders have failed in creating a feasible solution towards the increased cost of health care, they are still needed in the development of a more viable plan towards solving the issue (Porter & Lee, 2013). These groups of individuals know and understand the origin of the problem more than anyone else in the circle. Although researchers may carry out studies to analyze and extract the central source of the issue, they cannot acquire first-hand information beheld by policymakers and health care leaders. The problem with their failure might be originating from the implementation of the wrong plans towards solving the problem. In this case, the best idea will be coming up with an appropriate strategy to approach the issue and realize a significant solution. Also, knowing that the most impacted people in the population are patients, the core objective of the plan is to prioritize their value by ensuring they get the best health care services at the lowest possible cost (Rosenthal, 2018). In this case, the plan will enhance a patient-centered provision from the will of the physician to ensure that the needs of the latter are addressed adequately at a low cost.
Achieving the plan of solving the current cost issues in American health care requires distinct regulation of the information technologies in the system.
