Instructions:
In this module of your SLP, you will continue your literature review regarding your chosen topic. Choose 1 article about your topic that uses inferential statistical procedures that you learned about in this module (that is, a t-test or ANOVA). The article can be one you described in a previous module's SLP paper, or a different one. Introduce and briefly describe the study in one paragraph. Cite the title and year of publication. Then identify the following: - Null and alternative hypothesis - Sampling procedures - Independent and Dependent Variable/s - Alpha level - Outcome (significant results, or fail to reject null hypothesis) If you could ask the researcher 2 questions about the results, what would they be? If you were designing your own study about this topic, what would your independent variable be? What would your dependent variable be? What would you expect to find? For example: males will be more or less likely to exercise than females ... something related to your own topic. source..

Review of Literature
Occupational stress has been studied for a very long time. The uniqueness of this study lies on the fact that it is a cross-cultural qualitative study. The title of the research is “Sources of occupational stress among nurses in five countries” which was published last ADDIN Mendeley Citation{1038b5b6-5391-491a-b351-ce7ae445925c} CSL_CITATION { "citationItems" : [ { "id" : "ITEM-1", "itemData" : { "DOI" : "10.1016/j.ijintrel.2007.10.003", "author" : [ { "family" : "Glazer", "given" : "Sharon" }, { "family" : "Gyurak", "given" : "Anett" } ], "container-title" : "International Journal of Intercultural Relations", "id" : "ITEM-1", "issue" : "1", "issued" : { "date-parts" : [ [ "2008", "1" ] ] }, "page" : "49-66", "title" : "Sources of occupational stress among nurses in five countries", "type" : "article-journal", "volume" : "32" }, "uris" : [ "/documents/?uuid=1038b5b6-5391-491a-b351-ce7ae445925c" ] } ], "mendeley" : { "manualFormatting" : "2008", "previouslyFormattedCitation" : "(Glazer \u0026#38; Gyurak, 2008)" }, "properties" : { "noteIndex" : 0 }, "schema" : "https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json" } 2008. It sought to identify emic and epic experiences of occupational stress. Respondents were nurses from Hungary, Israel, Italy, U.K. and U.S. Results showed different sources of stress depending on the respondents’ country of origin.
Null and alternative hypothesis
There are four hypotheses in this study.
The null hypothesis of the study is: “Quantitative workload is expected to emerge as an etic stressor in the nursing profession.” Alternative hypothesis are the following
H1: Management or leadership problems are expected to be frequently mentioned as a source of stress and anxiety in each of the five countries.
H2: Hungarian nurses will report problems associated with lack of resources (i.e., supplies and budgetary constraints) more frequently than nurses in the other countries.
H3: U.S. nurses will report negative or punitive reward or appraisal systems as a cause of stress on the job because of the market managed health-care system in the USA.
Sampling Procedures
Determining the sample size of such population was not mentioned in the study. However, the sample size consisted of 2144 nurses working in 19 hospitals in Budapest, Hungary, northern Israel, northern Italy, London, U.K., and the Baltimore area of Maryland in USA. Based on the data provided, it can be inferred that sampling procedures used were a combination of several probability sampling techniques such as stratified random sampling and cluster sampling ADDIN Mendeley Citation{cbb7909a-7baa-4f0f-b007-978502db0684} CSL_CITATION { "citationItems" : [ { "id" : "ITEM-1", "itemData" : { "URL" : "/tutorial/Ojwaya/sampling.html", "container-title" : "Social reseach Methods", "id" : "ITEM-1", "title" : "Procedures in Sampling", "type" : "webpage" }, "uris" : [ "/documents/?uuid=c...
