Abortion is an issue that evokes strong reaction from many people. According to the author of Abortion: At the still point of the turning conscientious objection debate," two of the more prominent voices within public bioethical debate are philosophical views that, on the one hand, hold up bare (human) life as its fundamental value, and, on the other, hold up the life that can choose as its fundamental value. For this assignment, please read the article listed above and respond to the following questions.
Briefly discuss Lee and George’s theory and their position on abortion.
Briefly discuss Beauchamp and Childress’ theory and position on abortion.
Briefly discuss the theoretical and practical dynamics of the conscientious objection debate. Be sure to compare and contrast the two theories in your discussion.
The conscientious objection debate, which Charo and Cantor describe at the socio-political level, centers on a question that can be roughly articulated as, ‘‘How do we handle conflicts that arise because people hold divergent moral perspectives? Please provide an example of how this that might occur in your discipline of study. What is the conflict? What are the moral issues that might arise? Which one of theories discussed in the article might be used to resolve these conflicts?

Lee and George's theory and their position on abortion.
Lee and George argue that the most important thing of consideration I termination of human life which should not be negotiable CITATION Lee05 \l 1033 (Lee & George, 2005). Therefore, the mother's human life and that of the unborn have are equal for to choose any over the other is immoral. Motives of carrying out abortion should therefore be left out in consideration of procuring an abortion. Nature should be left to take its due course and if by any chance one life or both are lost, then it should be treated as unavoidable circumstance that befell the child and its mother. Whichever the circumstances that might lead to choice of procuring an abortion are all objectively wrong eve in they acted on an erroneous conscience. Lee and George standpoint on abortion is that from whichever perspective you consider on the issue of abortion, it is indeed wrong and should not be tolerated.
Beauchamp and Childress' theory and position on abortion.
The approach by Beauchamp and Childress is different and appears to justify procurement of abortion from different perspective. They emphasize on the respect for autonomy of a human being and independence of decision making.
