A balances scorecard (BSC) denotes a performance management tool used to identify and enhance various internal organizational functions and resulting outcomes. It offers a healthcare organization a complete set of financial, as well as non-financial performance measures based on a specific strategy (Jackson, 2021). BSC centers its vision and goals on customer, internal processes, financial, and growth. A balanced scorecard is used to lead and manage an organization by providing a strategic plan. BSC allows an organization to align the strategic plan to the organization’s goals (Gurd & Gao, 2008). For example, developing a goal to achieve customer satisfaction by creating measures to help achieve the goal. It also allows the team to evaluate how the organization follows through its strategic plan. BSC provides leadership by ensuring measurable goals are identified and implemented.
