An organizational culture that does not support evidence- based practice (EBP) and the lack of time make it more difficult for the nurse leaders and nurses to implement changes. If there is workplace resistance to change when seeking to implement EBP, then this affects the ability of the nurse managers and leaders to integrate changes (Melnyk, Fineout-Overholt, Gallagher-Ford & Kaplan 2012). The nurse managers support changes in the workplace, including the integration of EBP in nursing. (EBP) integrates the best evidence to improve patient outcomes and, safer care the quality of care, but there are obstacles and barriers to implement EBP.
