Therefore, the level of engagement of each patient would determine the communication and interview technique used in building their history. The techniques would also differ based on the age of the patient. The patient's health history has a greater value as compared to their physical diagnosis. Therefore, asking patient-centered questions based on their social interactions would help in building their history on the basis of the different social determinants of health (Artandi & Stewart, 2018). Among such questions is the nature of their job since it determines their likeliness of acquiring particular health problems. As well, asking open-ended and nondirective questions would encourage each of the patients to provide more information regarding their health. Patients are faced with different health risks depending on various factors such as their environment, lifestyle and the people that they associate with. Hence, the health risk appraisal would be an appropriate method to use on each of the patients. The questions asked to each patient would depend on the information that they have already provided. Some patients stand a higher chance of facing health risks as a result of their lifestyle as compared to others. Therefore, the questions would differ.
