When it comes to finding solutions, evidence based practice has really played a key role therein. This is because, through the process of research and confirmation, new methods in healthcare can be embraced to replace the old practices. New frontiers in nursing can be discovered and explored even further in order to obtain the best outcomes. The main issue as a result, in finding a solution to evidence based alternatives, is the ability to carry out research and thereafter, generating a proposal. The research needs to incorporate current studies as well as trends. This will in turn help in developing a case study, which would yield a proper approach or standard of care when it comes to nursing.
The other issue is availability of resources. Following the pursuit of providing a solution to evidence-based nursing practice, there has been a problem of insufficient resources in my organization. Insufficient resources is more of a ticking time bomb due to the fact that, with each passing day, more and more equipment are being rendered obsolete due to the rapid changes in the sector. There is need for up to date equipment, to keep up with the ever-changing field. As a result of this, we are at the risk of failing to provide quality health care in our organization and also the number of medical errors in our facility has also escalated.
This problem, the lack of sufficient resources to facilitate and enable evidence-based nursing practice, has been attributed to most of the funds being used to remunerate our employees. According to the constitution of the United States, it is a right for every employee to be remunerated fairly in accordance with the job he/she does (ILO, 2020).
