They provide nurses with a reference point from which to reflect on the conduct of themselves and others and guide ethical decision making and practice. Also indicates to the community the human rights, standards and ethical values it can expect nurses to uphold. This is categorized with number of provision guiding the conduct of the nurse`s duties.
Nursing form the past are concerned with the welfare of the sick, injured and vulnerable and for social justice. It also encompasses prevention of diseases. This thus entails individuals who become nurses to adhere to the professional code of ethics and to embrace them as part of their care life, although they are dynamic.
