Learning objective
After this lesson, every student must demonstrate in-depth understanding in managing and preventing hospital-acquired infections in healthcare settings, particularly in hospital wards, emergency rooms, home-based, and operations rooms. 
Specific objectives
1 Students will demonstrate a clear understanding of nosocomial diseases
2 Students will be able to explain the different types of hospital-acquired infections.
3 Learners will be able to explain different methods of preventing hospital-acquired infections.
4 Students will explain their role as nurses in reducing morbidity and mortality rates of hospital-acquired infections. 
This lesson will take two to four class days to complete. One lesson will be conducted in a healthcare setting to equip students with practical skills in managing and preventing nosocomial infections. The classroom will have between fifteen and twenty students.
