It is important to examine the boundaries of culture since knowing what a culture practices helps people to live in harmony (Silberman, et al. 2012). Indeed, a person will ignore any practice that may annoy their friends from a different culture. Culture remains instilled in many individuals and by identifying the boundaries will help in identifying the positive and negative impacts on the society; this will help the society in shedding negative cultural practices (Donnan & Wilson, 1999; Lamont, 1999). Moreover, the boundaries of a culture will be essential in exploiting the potential of a society; for instance, introducing a product to them means it will adhere to its beliefs and traditions. For example, selling pork to Muslims will not work and may even be taken as an insult.
