After carrying out extensive research about universities in the area which have a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, I am applying to Tennessee Tech University owing to the outstanding reviews which I have been able to read from a number of recent graduates who pursued the FNP program at this college. In addition, I am very enthusiastic about the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Tennessee Tech University due to the program’s excellent reputation.
With regard to my prior professional experience, I have in excess of 10 years experience as a nurse practitioner at a major health care facility. I started off as a Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) in the year 2003 and worked in the emergency department (ED) at Rhea Medical Center. I completed my RN in May 2003 and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in November 2015. I have worked at Rhea Medical Center since the year 1998 where I started as a phlebotomist. I am still currently employed there as an RN-BSN in the emergency department. I am licensed as a nurse practitioner and I am totally board certified.
I am particularly drawn to the specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner since I am a life-long learner who seeks more independence and responsibility in my career. Furthermore, I find professional contentment and fulfilment in evaluating patients and providing treatment to them, and paying particular attention to the family unit. My skills as a RN-BSN and my care for clients and patients have allowed me to be a crucial member of the team at Rhea Medical Center.
In my previous roles as a licensed registered nurse, I have provided comprehensive care to patients and clients who present with major injuries, who have been diagnosed with diseases, and who have recent surgeries. I have assisted emergency staff at Rhea Medical Centre in escalated cases and engaged in life support treatments and resuscitations.
