Education has become a crucial element towards bettering lives of the people. Regardless of one’s employment status, it is important to have the necessary knowledge and skills related to a specific profession. People pursue degrees in colleges and universities to guarantee their penetration into the job market, purely for monetary gain. However, I want to use the knowledge and expertise that I have acquired during my university years to give back to the public. The community around us faces many issues, mainly as these people have not pursued their aspirations due to constraints.
A degree will enable one to pursue employment in their fields and, as such, enable them to retain managerial positions in various organizations. The country's recent trend has allowed the stagnation of wealthy and egocentric men who have other sources of income while others wallow in poverty; therefore, I will focus on bettering those who have the relevant skills but have not been given a chance. Many youths have various talents that would awe anyone, but they lack the platform to showcase their abilities and earn a living. I will form partnerships with other associated organizations to seek out the local talent and nurture them through competitions and events. As a result, these programs would encourage young people to develop their natural abilities and earn a living from sports such as athletics, rugby, and football.
Many people in society are underprivileged, and others live with disabilities that cannot enable them to participate in any activity. As a form of goodwill, I will organize drives, contributions, and sensitization events to improve the lives of those who have challenges getting their basic needs.
