Imagine that these are last year’s reading/writing results from your high school for the students currently in your classes.
Based on the student assessment results in topic materials “Sample Standardized Test Scores within High School Reading/Writing for Informational Text”, create a 500-750 word Assessment Analysis Action Plan describing how you will adjust your instruction to close learning gaps. Include in your plan:

The use of student performance data is essential in evaluating student practices and monitoring their academic progress. Many questions have emerged about how educators should use student data to make necessary instructional decisions. Such decisions include the ability to adjust assignments, tasks, and lessons in response to students’ wants, modify classroom goals and objectives, and adjust student-group members (Setiawan, 2019). Changes that instructors can make to improve students’ achievements include identifying individual strengths, refining teaching methods, and prioritizing teacher-student time.
There are different state readings and writing standards that students and educators can integrate into their content areas to improve student performance. Content area standards reflect student knowledge and skills that are learned in a particular content area. These standards create a teaching and learning framework; they help students build prior experience and become more skilled over time (Givon, 2019). An example of reading and writing standards is setting benchmarks for learning; the latter should be clear and easy for the student to understand. Content area standards guide and help teachers to develop great learning experiences.
Learners’ gap describes the students’ deficiencies and shortcomings, which, if eliminated, result in improved performance, knowledge, and competence. Gaps refer to the difference between the way things are at the moment and how they should be. For instance, a knowledge gap can be identified by using questionnaires and reviewing test results from board examinations. Correcting critical knowledge gaps is crucial as it helps all students be on the same knowledge level (Setiawan, 2019). Another example is the learners’ practice gap.
