My kindergarten experience through my eight grade schooling is all a series that cannot be narrated in this text. The most interesting part was when I reported to kindergarten for the first time. During that time we used to live in the city of Shanghai. When I first reported the kindergarten it was all a horrible experience. I remember all along I was very envy of my siblings who were going to school but when my day of going to school came it wasn’t a good experience.
My mother, holding my hand tightly, we walked through the corridors to the office of the kindergarten administrator. My mother exchanged a few words with the administrator which I could not comprehend as i was busy looking around at the other children who had been brought there by their parents. I looked so surprised and my mother kept on comforting me by placing her hand on my back trying to calm me down. Hell broke loose when she took me to the class and handed me over to the teacher, I wanted to go back with her. It was unbelievable how much I had been crying to join school and when the day came I thought it was the worst idea. However, the teacher who was handling kindergarten was so friendly. She welcomed me and I eventually adapted to the class. The learning experience wasn’t an easy task, being a Chinese I was able to speak a few Chinese words. However learning to write was not an easy task. I think I was among the worst writers because I actually learnt how to write effectively when I reached grade three.
