Climate change poses a danger to the environment. Human activities have emitted enough greenhouse gases to trap more heat in the atmosphere in the last fifty years. Detrimental effects of climate change, such as affecting people’s health, displacing populations, and high cost to society, will worsen.
One of the main consequences is affecting people’s health. Continued harmful activities such as burning fossil fuels produce extreme heat that causes cardiovascular diseases (World Health Organization, 2018, Feb 1). Also, the altered climatic conditions influence the transmission of vector-borne and water-borne diseases when seasons extend. Consequently, more people die of diseases such as dengue fever and malaria.
