Ladies and Gentlemen, I have no doubt that the Hong Kong Business Association of Washington is one of the strongest business associations in Washington. In an effort to magnify our presence in Washington and help other people join the organization we have engaged in several activities focused not only in helping market our association but also help the community in general. One of the marketing activities of the association includes the Annual Lunar New Year Gala which was introduced in 2008. One of the latest activities was the 9th Annual Lunar New Year Gala and Auction held on February 13th, 2016 at Seattle Sheraton Hotel. I am happy to inform you that this event raised over $ 300,000 and had over 600 attendees. Since we launched this activity way back in 2008, we have been able to support the community in several different ways. Some of our major beneficiaries of the proceeds from these activities have gone to organisations like Seattle Children's, Center for Children & Youth Justice (CCYJ), Bruce Lee Action Museum, Washington Initiative for Supported Employment, Seattle Chinese Garden, Seattle Symphony, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), and now the Bellevue Life Spring.
