For this assignment, you will write another piece that will be included in your ʼzine. Just as the first entries for your ʼzine focused on a topic you are an expert in, so too will this next essay. You will write a narrative essay in which you tell a story about an experience you've had with the topic of your ʼzine. If you have chosen a topic that you are curious about, then your narrative will tell a story about why you became curious about that topic. As you work to construct your narrative, make sure your essay has the following:  An introduction paragraph that catches your reader's attention, gives necessary background information about your topic and the setting, and ends with a thesis statement. Your thesis statement should clearly state your topic, what it means to you, and how it has shaped you as a person.  You should have at least three or four body paragraphs, and each one should have a topic sentence that focuses the paragraph. The body paragraphs should tell your story, just like any story you read  Your narrative should have a beginning, middle, and an end and should be told in chronological order.  Make sure to describe people and places involved with vivid detail and bring in examples to make things clear for your reader.  Your last paragraph should be your concluding paragraph. This last paragraph should bring your essay to a close by restating the importance of your thesis (be sure not to use the same wording) and reflecting on the larger meaning or importance of the experience described. Basically, how has your area of expertise and the process of gaining that expertise shaped the person that you are today? The future of artificial intelligence
In 2014, then president Obama visited a research institute in Tokyo Japan where he was welcomed by enthusiastic students researching on humanoids. Among the products they had developed is a humanoid named Asimo, one of the most advanced of its kind as of the date of encounter. As part of his trip, he was supposed to be treated to a show of the humanoid capabilities where he played soccer with the robot. The robot showed its abilities to the president by kicking a soccer ball to him and cerebrating while jumping and balancing on one leg. President Obama appeared bemused by the abilities of the robot though he later admitted they were a bit unnerving. I share his feelings about the progress that has been made in artificial intelligence and how these experiences have shaped the way we perceive technology and how it is affecting our lives today, needless to say how it will shape our reality in the foreseeable future. My curiosity in artificial intelligence was sparked by this experience which was widely televised. It is an unignorably unique experience that arouses the interest to guess, predict and imagine the future of technology and how it will affect our lives.
Replicating human movement and mimicking how human communicate and interact has a huge challenge for many artificial intelligence researchers. The evolution theory argues that humans spent millions of years before they could be able to walk on two legs. Though despite the complexity of human movement, humanoids today can run, balance and do more complex tasks. Here is Asimo, able to perform one of the most complex balancing and movement abilities of humans like playing soccer and balancing on one foot. The humanoid behaves like a human in almost every sense and you almost feel some kind of personal and human attachment to them. The abilities humanoids have today have today were unfathomable and only existed in science fiction films nearly a decade ago. It is undeniable that future machines will be more intelligent and will be able to mimic almost every human action with very high accuracy.
