1. Give me an example of a time when you motivated others.
When motivating people around me, I tailor my responses to their capabilities and personal strengths. In high school, I was once asked to teach some of my class-fellows how to prepare PowerPoint presentations. They were weak students of the class, and I was the most intelligent and bright pupil, but I was not proud of my abilities as I loved being humble. Instead of discouraging them from working hard, I sat with those weak students and prepared one PowerPoint slide for each of them while guiding how to prepare those slides themselves. In order to motivate them, I bought one sandwich and a soft drink for each of them and spoke to them politely and nicely. I made conscious efforts to help them become creative so that they could easily prepare their PowerPoint slides in the future.
2. Tell me about a time when you delegated a project effectively.
Once I was asked to head a project of a million-dollar company. I was kept under consistent pressure of meeting the deadline and ensuring quality. I had an idea that there was no room for errors in this project, as this could lead to a long-term professional relationship with the client. I asked my group members to spend extra hours at the office and to devote themselves fully to the work. In return, I promised to give them salary increments. Thankfully, all of them cooperated with me, and I was able to submit a high-quality product to the customer one day prior to the deadline.
3. Give me an example of a time when you used your fact-finding skills to solve a problem.
I took an internship as an accountant at a private firm where I once came across a female customer who claimed that we had misused some of her important details. She was of the view that the details we misused were related to her bank, claiming that our accounting methods were good for nothing. It looked odd and unusual to me, and I decided to handle her finances carefully. I used my knowledge of accounting and provided her with proofs that her personal details were not being misused by any of the staff members.
