There are five levels of needs according to Maslow, including Physiological needs, safety, belonging, esteem, and self-actualization (Boone, 2010). I believe the most important needs at this time are the esteem needs. I feel I must be successful as far as my career is concerned. I feel I must achieve a level of independence and status. Currently I am depending on my parents in paying my bills, especially the school fees and rent. I feel that I must dominate. In other words, I feel that I must have an added advantage as far as my education is concerned since it will help me secure a job. There are many students completing undergraduate and all will compete for the limited job position. I as well need respect from others, for example, because of my academic achievement and position in the society. After getting the above need, I would be able to achieve the self-actualization needs.
