The demand for healthcare services is high for the aging individual requiring the government to increase the number of health care in the US. There have been increases in the number of people who are over 65 years old in the US. This is where there are over 35 million people who are over 35 years old and the figure is expected to rise to over 85 million in 2050 (Colby & Ortman 2014).
