The E.V.A. initiative is a campaign by Volvo that emphasizes the safety of its cars (Volvo Cars, 2019). E.V.A. stands for Equal Vehicles for All, and through the campaign, the auto manufacturer tries to inform customers that it prioritizes safety. The ad portrays how women are more likely to get injured when a car crashes. However, data collection on car crashes by the company has helped it make safer cars.
According to Ferrell and Hartline (2017), the success of a company’s marketing strategy depends on the four basic elements of the marketing mix: product, promotion, distribution, and price.
