The most important take-away from the videos is the feedback provided by the instructor. The instructors give positive feedback and avoid negativity. Interestingly, even when the feedback is negative, the instructors find a way to change it and make it appear positive (EngageNY, 2016a). The advantage of such feedback is that it motivates the learners and allows them to develop strong self-esteem that they can use to learn and improve their education (EngageNY, 2016c). The other take-away is the instructor involves the students in feedback discussion, which lets them know the challenges or issues they face and be able to address them in the future.
When I enter my classroom, I want to remember the learners' responses and active participation. When learners actively participate in class discussions because of the positive self-esteem they have gotten from feedback, then it is worth remembering (Edutopia, 2019).
