Interview
I interviewed one of my closest friends by the name of Jane Doe. We have been friends for over two years. In particular, my interviewee was a 24-years-old African American female. She is a family nurse by profession, and her primary focus is on taking care of patients. When we met in social gatherings, we always examine numerous issues that affect different people. For instance, before I interviewed her, we had discussed what makes some people to be undermined or suppressed in society. For example, racism and ethnicities are like primary determiners in the recruitment process for many organizations in the United States of America (USA). As a black person, being a female puts me behind males, and being an African American makes me inferior to white people.
How has race been an obstacle in your life as a caregiver?
The most important thing you should understand is that not all whites discriminate against black people. However, the problem of discrimination and stereotyping is deep-rooted in American history. For example, when there exists a career development opportunity in the workplace, many individuals who benefit are whites. I do not know where the notion that white people make the best leaders came from, which is the reason why numerous p...
