The financing is coming from the United Arab Emirates, the materials are coming from Mexico and China, the engineering and technology are coming from Israel, and the labor will be hired locally within these countries by your management team from the United States. You invite all of the players to the headquarters in the United States for a big meeting to explain the project and get to know one another. In preparation for the meeting, you want to avoid cultural silos, while ensuring all parties engage with each other. Answer the following questions in preparation:
•What do you know about these cultures—specifically their economic, political, educational, and social systems—that could help you in getting them together?
•What are some of the contrasting cultural values of these countries?

Communication usually constitutes an important aspect of any interpersonal relations. Businesses, especially international ones, are generally very dependent on good communication between them and their stakeholders since it plays a role in developing skills such as negotiations and trade. Considering that they are international businesses, it is always inevitable that they will encounter foreign cultures and hence different languages. The success of such a business will be heavily reliant upon the speed and manner in which in adapts to these changes and external environments since it is the only way they will attract customers from such environments.
Taking the case of the current franchise, a fast food restaurant, having the ability to adapt to various environments will be critical in enhancing its penetration to such markets as Israel, China, Mexico, and U.A.E. These countries depict sharp differences in culture, religion, language, and style. Operating the business in such environments will need mastery of the finest things of language, such as tonal variations in verbal and nonverbal communication. It will also call for the understanding of just how these people carry on with their way of life, the taboos and myths, against their values and preferences (Anbari et.al. n.d.).
Clearance to go international is a huge step for the business since it opens the door to global business and markets. The four nations are going to contribute in one way or another towards the establishment of the franchise in their respective countries. The fact that it is going international means a lot of resources are required, regarding funding, which will be provided by the U.A.E., materials that will be provided by China and México, while Israel will cater for the engineering and technology part. To come up with a good strategy, it is important to have some idea about the sociopolitical and economic characteristics of these nations.
China has been a historically socialist country with a very conservative society keenly monitored by the government. It, therefore, calls for the business to forge cordial relations with the Chinese government, so as to ensure there is no friction, especially when it comes to following up on the rules and regulations of the country. Most of the Chinese people value their products and therefore, it would take quite an effort for them to shift preferences to the new franchise in their nation. The business would, therefore, have to devise a great marketing strategy that would encompass certain aspects of the Chinese culture, in such a way that they will be able to relate with(Anbari et.al. n.d.). The good thing is that materials are from the country and therefore it will make the Chinese people feel the business is partially their own.
U.A.E. is a predominantly Arabic nation and therefore governed by Islamic rules religion. As a result, there is a high chance that the residents of the country are very strict on the type of goods they consume, especially with the restrictions of the Quran about ‘halal' products. The business will have to follow all the rules about the Islamic laws that govern business in th...
