Now imagine a world where this valuable resource is slowly being depleted. This is exactly what is happening not only in America but also in other places around the world. Today, nature is being depleted and altered at rates that surpass its ability to recover.
The presence of organizations like The Nature Conservancy instills hope in us that there is something we can do to save this valuable resource. With 60 years of experience, this Washington-based organization uses science-based frameworks and innovative thinking to protect lands and waters. The Nature Conservancy has pioneered the formulation of policies on 28,000 SQ miles of marine waters. The organization has also protected 600 acres of farmland from flooding.
