The first video Wonderful Interview of Geert Hofstede is all about a meeting with Hofstede where he talks about the culture. He argues against the beliefs of the Ruth Benedict’s view and definition of culture. Ruth argues that culture is based on the personalities of a person. Hofstede proposes for personality test to proof the best religion of an individual. He argues that there are good and bad characters and the authority play a role in shaping the culture of an organization. In most organizations authoritarianism shapes the behavior of workers and organization’s associates. When he worked in one of the organization, he realized a significant difference between French and Spanish authoritarianism. By then he was working as an assistant engineer.
