The University at Buffalo (UB) community have frequent struggles in finding parking availability for vehicle owners. Over the years, technological advancements in improving parking efficiency have created opportunities in developing an application that can change the way we park and alleviate our daily struggles.
The UB Parking Tracker is a mobile application that allows people in the University at Buffalo to conveniently find parking spaces and monitor the location of their vehicles. The UB community, including students, employees, and visitors, are assisted in finding parking locations in the shortest time. Our startup team is comprised of three promising students at the University at Buffalo namely, Yufei Wang, Jiahuan Xu, and Cindy Zheng that also have considerable training and experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and business management.
The parking management industry is continuously booming as the need for available parking spaces increases every day. Growth trends of parking management systems use networks of devices and sophisticated algorithms to aid in finding car parking. Using our innovative app, parking management struggles, vehicle gate passes, and parking tickets in UB will be a relic of the past. A vehicle owner will have more time to uphold research, education, and service for the fulfillment of academic excellence than finding a vacant parking space inside the campus.

Goal and Objectives
Our goal is to provide excellent parking organizations in the UB parking area for UB employees, students, and visitors. Our objective is to use an online parking service for registration, reservation, and monitoring of vehicles. It aims to decrease vehicle congestion in the parking area due to searching of vacant spots, to monitor the vacancy of a parking spot, to find a parking spot in less than 15 minutes in UB, to decrease the rate of tardiness in the UB community due to parking problems, and to find the owner's vehicle effectively easily. Additionally, the app promotes parking ethics in the UB community for compliance with UB parking rules.
Target Market, Industry and Ownership
The UB Parking Tracker is marketed to the UB community, including UB employees, students, and visitors. Innovative companies attempt to create a system that improves the efficiency and productivity of their people. Since the parking technologies are one of the growing trends for increasing productivity, the app saves the UB community a significant amount of time in the long term that can be dedicated to research, education, and service. Furthermore, it reduces environmental impact, especially in decreasing air pollution and the use of non-renewable energy. UB Parking Tracker aims to create a partnership with UB to perform the services of the app. The app is focused on the parking problems of UB and find innovative solutions in addressing parking issues.
