Team-building Activity Name Institution Date Team-building Activity I recently participated in an exciting team building exercise organized by our manager to demonstrate the meaning of teamwork and collaboration. All Aboard was the title of the exercise where as a team, we were required to be creative and fit inside a small square without stepping outside the square. Before the exercise could begin, the manager read out a storyline to guide the activity and explain what we were required to do. According to the storyline, the 9 of us were aboard a sinking ship in the sea, the sea was full of sharks, the coast guards had been notified of the situation and they were on their way to rescue us. We had to hang on to the shipwreck; anyone who stepped outside the ship was out of the game. We all brainstormed about the task and decided on how all of us could hang on to the small space provided for the exercise. The challenge was that every member was to be inside the small space marked by a round rope. A song was played as everyone moved around the rope singing row row row your boat when the song stopped, we all tried fitting in the space, there was an imaginary river marked by small pieces of paper and anyone who stepped in the river was eaten by sharks. In the first round, the exercise went on smoothly; when the rope was adjusted, the space reduced, meaning that we had to plan on how to ensure that everyone was aboard the ship. We carried other members of the team on our backs while one person was carried shoulder high. After we completed the exercise everyone shared their experiences and how each member played their roles.
