SHSMD is a part of the American Hospital Association, and serves as the voice of healthcare strategists, marketers and professionals from the communications and public relations fields. The main purpose of the group is to help its members face the future by making knowledge available to them. Apart from this, the group also provides opportunities for the members for professional growth so that they can improve the health status and quality of life in their societies. Currently, the group has over 4,000 members, and the members are from the various sectors of healthcare. Furthermore, SHSMD updates its members concerning products, services, experiences and connections, all which serve to improve their members, both personally and individually. Therefore, the group plays an important role by being available and concerned about the problems their members face. The group has significant resources; thus, when their members face problems, the group responds promptly to solve the problems (SHSMD, n.d.).
In an event of a career involving SHSMD, I would gladly pursue the career. Well, people have likings that differ. Personally, I am always ready to work in paths, where I am offering services to the people who cannot access these services.
