Any business going international faces a number of multicultural issues. P&G on expanding to India was not an exception. It faced a number of issues that they had to be prepared for. The multicultural issues are together with; communication, relationships and business culture.
In order to succeed in India, P&G cannot continue using the same business model it used in the U.S. The characteristics of businesses in India are deeply embedded on their traditions. Mostly, Asiatic countries have failed to conform to the international standards that are acceptable. For the employees and agents to advance the interest of the business, there must be the presence of supervision in India (Anthony & Matthew, 2010). It is therefore recommended that P&G, in order to succeed, has to be flexible, humble and ready to learn the new culture to understand the market complexities.
