Imagine that you just created a new start-up company. You want to compete in the growing industry of drone navigation systems. VectorCal is the only major company in the field. You also want to be a leaner, faster version of a company that you view as being too slow and costly. Note: You may create and / or make all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment. Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:
1. Describe the new start-up company that you have created. Include in your description the nature of your company, its mission and vision, your company’s product, an analysis of your staff, and your target clientele.
2. Criticize VectorCal’s forecasting method. Determine the appropriate forecasting approach for your company. Provide a rationale to support the determination.
3. Suggest the semi-variable, allocated, and indirect costs that you should address in the start-up phase of your company. Provide a rationale to support the response.
4. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

I have created KTechs Co. as a startup company in the drone navigation system industry. The company has adequate resources to enhance the delivery of services. Arguably, KTechs Co. will incur direct and indirect costs in the form of leisure travel expeditions, military applications, and drone technology. The company offers drone technology services, such as collecting high definition video through surveillance. Some of the drones will have modern technology devices to determine GPS location, gather license plate information, and intercept phone calls.
KTechs Co. will be among the leading organizations in the United States in providing the various forms of drone navigation services. The company offers stealth and aircraft drones to suit the needs of clients. The central vision of KTechs Co. is to lead in system production of drone navigation, maintain good organization cultures, and relation with customers. In such a case, the employees commit to providing drones that have less environmental impacts on the environment. KTechs recognizes the value of innovative power, loyalty of employees, fairness, and honesty. Besides, employees are competent professionals with all the required qualifications and commitment towards the attainment of set vision and mission. System engineers, architectures, software engineers, marketers, and trainers are part of the professionals.
The government and other related organizations are the main targets of KTechs Co. despite facing stiff competition from close rivals in the market, offering products in the same product line. KTechs Co. will be competent in providing quality products and services to the clients. For instance, the drones will have security cameras, receivers, and transmitters. Notably, all the products in the drone to the navigation industry will be useful and of high quality. KTechs Co. will adhere to all the navigation standards related to GPS capability, design, and modern technological advancements (Anwar, 2017). Importantly, the company will utilize modern design standardizations and outstanding telecommunication infrastructure in supporting all the government projects.
A Critique of VectorCal’s Forecasting Method
VectoCal utilizes a time- series forecasting method, which is the period since the last purchase approach. The strategy involves the use of historical data in forecasting future demands from customers. However, the time-series forecasting method is inefficient since one of the assumptions is that what occurred in the past would be taking place and might reoccur in the future, which could not be the case. Equally, the future trends might vary from the current ones, thus making it difficult to use the forecasting method for long-term purposes.
