Production and Operations Management
Production and operations management refers to the process that oversees, designs business operations in regard to production of products and services in an organization. The process controls various resources used in production and operations activities of the organization as per the policies of the organization (Panneerselvam & Senthilkumar, 2012). Production and operations management is therefore the part of organization that oversees the transformation of inputs into the required goods and services having the required quality level. The interrelated management activities that deals with manufacturing certain products in an organization is referred to as production management and the inclusion of both products and services is referred as operation management.
