Product Or Service Assignment: Description Target Market

The Marketing Plan assignment will continue throughout the term with an element due at the conclusion of each course week (midnight Sunday). The requirement for this week is to identify an existing product or service that you would like to use as the basis for the plan. The effort you put into this assignment will be a learning experience for you and you are encouraged to chose something that will motivate you to spend a good amount time on each element.
The guidelines are broad, in that the product/service can be from any retail or business to business segment. Provide the following information in your submission:
Product or service description
A description of the target market
Your proposed research sources
Your plan must include original thought about how sales of the product/service might be increased because marketers do not get paid to state what was or what is, but rather how to create a more profitable future. Be cautious about choosing products/services that have been wildly successful (iPhone for example) because you might be hard pressed to improve upon existing marketing efforts. The assignments become more comprehensive as the term progresses and you are expected to submit more complete answers as indicated by the increase in point value.
