The effectiveness of leadership depends on the state of relationship between the leader and the members of staff. The only way to foster a good relationship is to maintain effective leadership behaviour. Financial literacy, workflow management and planning among other processes were previously considered to be the main processes that ensured an effective leadership approach. Although the implementation of these methods promised good results to leaders, followership has to be achieved through a more emotional perspective. Instead of focusing on business analysis as the primary source of effective leadership, a leader’s creativity and intuition are among the traits needed in order to nurture a more relationship oriented perspective (Guzman, 2015).
