Introduction
The last one decade has seen a big shift in the consumption practices. Unlike ten years ago, online shopping has become a part of the shopping experience for many people. Today, nearly every business has an online presence and it is now easy for people to buy and sell goods and services online. Online shopping has become a common feature for many people in the society. Personally, online shopping has become instrumental for me as I can now do all my shopping from the comfort of my house. This is a common feature for most people in the society and characterizes what has been happening in the last ten years.
The last one decade has seen me open numerous accounts with various vendors since each vendor offers something different that I am searching for. I have a range of online providers with each offering something different. Unlike in the past, I do not have to go to a library to search for books since I am now able to access digital books through online accounts that are offered by Amazon. I also buy my shoes online and even the food that I eat is bought online. This has made shopping quite easy and fun and I no longer have to worry about the shops closing before I get there since most of the online shops offer around the clock services (Muniz, & Hope, 2014).
Apart from the convenience in shopping, the availability of online money systems has also made paying for the purchased goods quite easy. Today, I can pay for goods directly from the bank regardless of where I am.
