Social networks are structures whereby individuals and organizations connect to each other. Social network are prone to security threats due to human activities and natural calamities. Senior management involvement is vital in responding to social networking problems by safeguarding various kinds of incidences. Management involvement needs to establish various security functions these includes developing sets of policies in response to security threats. Management can only limit security consequences by creating backup processing facilities at a remote location. Even though many companies are concerned with the cost of establishing such facilities, management needs to decide on the amount to spend based on the risks levels of the organization besides considering other uncertainties (Kroenke, 2015).
