The financial status of an organization is very important especially for the profit oriented ones. However, when checking the financial position of a business at a given period of time one can refer t the balance sheet or the profit and loss statement. In this regard, the balance sheet contains the assets, liabilities and the equity of the business. On the other hand the income statement shows the sales and indicates whether the business is making profit or losses.
