Money and ethics Name Course Tutor Date The business world is rocked by corporate scandals involving unethical behavior. Big companies like WorldCom and Enron are reeling from a bad image as a result of money scandals involving one of their officials. Could we say that “money is the hugest intoxicant there is”? Bernie Ebbers and Jeff Skilling were both CEOs from WorldCom and Enron respectively. Bernie is the founder of WorldCom faced trial and was found guilty of security scams, conspiracy and filing false papers with supervisors. He did all this to meet the Wall Street Journal target. Jeff from Enron was also convicted of security fraud and submitting false statements to auditor in 2006. These frauds are worse or better than the Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken “junk bond”.
