The purpose of the Session Long Project in TUI classes is to give you the opportunity to explore the applicability of the Module to your own life and work. This can be done in a number of different ways cumulative papers, practical hands-on experimentation with a tool of some sort, or reflections on a place of work or life experience. The common thread is personal application, aimed at demonstrating a cumulative knowledge and understanding of the course's material.

For this course, the project will take the form of encounters with personal management assessments, aimed at constructing a personal inventory of your management skills and a plan for improving those skills. In each module, you will complete an assessment of a set of skills and/or situation diagnostics, focusing on your strengths and identifying any weaknesses that may have been revealed through the assessment and/or your personal experience. You will then be asked to create a plan by which you can "grow" your strengths and shore up your weaknesses. By the end of the course and the project, you will have a personal management profile and action plan.

In this module, you will be assessing your cultural awareness.

To test my skills and knowledge on the language codes, I took one of the general quizzes that relate to the ISO language codes. I also took one specific test on the Cross Cultural Quiz 1. To my astonishment, I scored lowly in the cross cultural quiz score. Much of the content seemed foreign even though I considered myself well versed on most cultures. Relative to the complexity and lack of knowledge on the areas tested on cultural competence, I only managed to answer three questions and out of the three, I only passed in two(Kwintessential.co.uk, 2015a). In the general quiz with regard to ISO language codes, I also poorly (Kwintessential.co.uk, 2015b).
One of my strengths with reference to cross cultural awareness is the ability to integrate with people from different cultures quite easily. I embrace all cultures and do not relate with people with reference to how favorite I prefer a certain culture to others.I am open-minded about cultures and their practices. This gives a level platform to appreciate the differences and similarities that exist between cultures at the work place and in the places I visit.
One of the key weaknesses I have noticed in reference to cross cultural awareness is the fact that I tend to form presumption aboutcertain cultures. I tend to generalize that if certain aspects are acceptable in certain cultures they most likely are acceptable in another culture(Holt, 2015). This has come out clearly in the test on cultural cross cultural awareness where presumption have lowered my score and made it difficult for me to answer more questions.
I believe working on improving my cross cultural is crucial especially in the current trends within the corporate sectors as well as shoring up my sociability skills in general. With respect to improving my strengths and shoring up my weaknesses, I plan to take concise steps to make th...
