Understanding the importance of market fit in providing new services is important for the business’ success. It provides an insight into how to create a ‘need-oriented’ service that could cater to a new consumer segment or improve the one provided to its current market. In this article, the author would like to focus on elaborating his new service, which is ‘self-service kiosks’ in Walmart stores. This includes the various functionalities and format that the consumers would receive and the benefits that it would provide the company. All in all, the author believes that the new product is crucial for improving the company’s relationship with one of its niche markets.

The self-service kiosk includes both digital and infrastructural changes that would allow blind consumers to have an easier and better experience with shopping.
Locating goods and making payments
On the one hand, the self-service kiosks are most automated and connected with the web. First, with this service, blind customers could easily locate the products that they need and check prices with the help of their mobile application. The application can easily be opened through voice-prompt (i.e., through the use of Google Assistant) by the user. Subsequently, the user can just tap the product near his mobile device and an audio response will provide important information such as (1) the name of the product, (2) its brand, (3) other essential information (i.e., manufacturing date, expiry date), and (4) the price.
