The characteristic features of my typical successful team include the ability to execute clear outlined objectives or tasks within an area of performance. Importantly, the successful tam has to have a meaningful purpose that connects with the rest of the team members. This statement means that for a given individual that considers being part of the team, they have to believe in a certain direction of the team. Next, there is the intuition that each team member has to be very transparent in their dealings targeting to improve the teams effectiveness. In this view, the interdependent teams are vital to the success of the organization given the case that there is easy communication (Polzer, 2003). Subsequently, team projects and goals are actualized through the members given that they are easily relied upon. On the same note, the thought of interdependency encourages diversity in the team given that members can easily learn from each other. Thus, they can stir the organization in the desired direction to realize particular goals.
Factors to consider while leading teams within the various levels of the organization include: organizational structure, organizational culture, available resources at disposal, incentives or the compensation systems. In the same view, there is need to consider personal strength and weakness that would positive or negatively affect coordination within various departments. Such is significant given the case that it lays the foundation for operating the business entity or organization. Notably, the particular factors to consider while leading the teams from the executive level include a type of goals, the size of the team, individual skills or capabilities and responsibilities of the leaders or team members of the organization. The type of goal is an important consideration given that fact that it will dictate the team’s plan while working to actualize certain strategies or overcome given challenges. Next, the size of the team is of important consideration while operating at the executive levels given that a large number of members in an organization usually require sufficient coordination (Flint & Hearn, 2015).
