Inability to fully internalize leadership is a problem and this is associated with slow reaction to power dynamics leadership position. One needs to have the belief and sense of self that they can achieve more at a higher position while also inspiring others. Even when there is self doubt onr ought to grow and learn, since leadership places one with more responsibilities. In any case, being afraid of the power dynamics increases pressure and there is a need to embrace the leadership position in order to lead more effectively (Evje, 2012).
Are you afraid of stress or stressful situations?
Workplace stress is a concern given the need to meet deadlines and carry out all tasks diligently. Even though, trying too much might results to higher productivity, it increases stress levels. The compulsion to be perfect could explain the high stress levels when trying to avoid criticism and placing too much importance on being recognized at the workplace. In essence, the fear that one would make a mistake may result to stress because of having too much pressure to succeed (Hicks & McSherry, 2006).
How do you deal with the day-to-day stressors of the corporate environment?
