KFC is a late entrant in the global fast food industry and though they have made remarkable progress in the industry, they still face very stiff completion and negative publicity. The management through the marketing department spends heavily on branding and promoting their products. The management also focuses on new markets to venture into to ensure global dominance in the fast-food industry. As a real estate company, it has thrived on aggressive advertisement and branding to ouster the other fast-food companies like McDonald’s. The management has invested in advertisements and promotion of the brand to bolster its position in the industry which is threatened by many diverse problems associated with the food and health industry.
To mitigate the stiff competition in the industry, KFC can solicit the services of an external organizational development consultancy company to help them plan and strategize.
