Introduction
The objective of each and every company is to succeed in business and be always at a better competitive advantage over its competitors. At the same time it has to win the customers confidence through offering goods and services of the highest quality. This will be a very important strategy which will win the loyalty of the customers to the company and will always want to use the products /services more often (Nadler, 1984). However the human resource of the company will be very instrumental in achieving these objectives. Hence, a company will be in a position of succeeding in the market as a result of the recruiting the best employees into the company’s system. The new employees must also have the zeal and qualifications so as to ensure that they are in the position of offering the company with high quality services that will ensure that the company competes effectively with its competitors in the business market.
A comparison between British Airways and
Singapore airline recruitment process
It should be noted that both these airlines are very keen on the ways they get their new recruits which they intend to inject in to the company’s work force. This is demonstrated from the ways in which they get their new recruits into the company employment systems (Venkat, 2007). Both the British Airways and Singapore airline have opted to recruit cadet students that were basically in the organizations training scheme; these cadets are given the first priority to be recruited into the company. This ensures that those who are familiar with the systems are absorbed first in the company’s training team. The companies do this because they don’t want to invest more in the training of students /trainees with no background knowledge of the company (Preston, 2009).
The organizations have a similarity of vetting their new recruits in order to ensure that they have the best and highly qualified recruits in their systems.
