Research a company that has undergone (or attempted to undergo) a shift in organization or culture within the past five years. This shift must have been a result of innovation. Some examples of companies that have gone through this change are Apple, General Motors, Marvel, Delta Airlines, Starbucks, Old Spice, J. Crew, CBS, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Nintendo, Converse, Lego, and Lacoste.
Describe the organization or culture before and after the shift. Has the shift been successful (e.g., made the company more profitable or influenced the employees to be more productive employees), or did the shift fail?
Layout the human resource plan you would suggest for the company you have chosen. Explain your choices.

With new technology trends and innovations, several companies have had cultural shifts. Some of the shifts have been successful, while others have drastically failed. Many companies shift due to unwanted trends within their organizational structure, change in leadership, or giving room for new inventions (Zhang, 2017). The main aim of establishing an organization is to provide quality goods and services and fill a market gap. The question that arises after filling the market gap and satisfying the client's needs is what next? Should the firm close? Should it change its management and all employees? The founder should answer the questions before making any rash decisions. Many companies often fail to make effective decisions, especially when they suffer losses and client dissatisfaction. In such cases, many organizations opt to change their management and way of doing things, shifting (Zhang, 2017). Among the organizations that have successfully shifted are Apple, General Motors, Old Spice, and Starbucks. Some of the companies made vast profits while others sunk into losses.
Apple is one of the companies that sought change after drowning in bad debts. The company made a bold move and changed its culture and management. The decisions made during the time placed Apple in its current position. Steve Jobs was signed as the new manager, and during his first meeting, he explained that his roles would be changing over time, and the company accommodated his wishes. With transformations and shifting trends of Apple, Steve Jobs' roles also changed. The radical changes were needed to save the company and revived its mission. On his return in 1997, Steve Jobs incorporated a new culture and amended all the holes that pulled the company down. Since then, his role has been felt due to the significant changes that have greatly impacted its production and sales scale. The previous years before his return to Apple, the company was wailing in debts and mismanagement. Their sales were low and poor management that went unexplained. At some point, Apple launched a campaign to entice their fans into buying shares to show their relevance in the market. One of Apple's major opportunities was the high demand for a modem operating system that the company could make (Zhang, 2017).
