Computer users have rights and responsibilities when using the information systems. The users have the reasonability towards the organization and the information system department. Users also have their personal responsibilities that they need to follow. Besides, one of the most important responsibilities is to understand how the information systems work (Kroenke, 2015).
Users can operate computer systems effectively when they are familiar with basic computer skills. It enable them understand computer procedures and techniques and applications used within the organization. If users are not familiar with computer applications, an organization cannot effectively meet its set objective because there will be delays. For example, users need to be aware about the basic information on systems updates to avoid overwriting that might affect computer operations (Kroenke, 2015). These describe the right for information on how to use the IS.
